Deepak Sony

President

Deepak brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry to DECORS USA. His journey began with a front desk job in Brooklyn, NY, after migrating to the United States from India in 1995. From there, he steadily advanced through a series of progressively senior roles across different hotel chains, building a deep, ground-level understanding of how hospitality operations actually work — not just in theory, but from the front desk up. That hands-on foundation eventually led him to found DECORS USA in 2009, driven by a clear vision: create products that genuinely elevate the guest experience while also solving real, practical problems for property owners and management teams. Before entering the hospitality industry and moving to the U.S., Deepak graduated from M.S University in Gujarat, India, and spent time gaining early professional experience on offshore oil exploration platforms in the Middle East — a background that shaped his disciplined, detail-oriented approach to complex projects.

Utkarsh Soni

Director of Operations

Utkarsh joined DECORS in 2017 to take on responsibility for the operational side of the company. While his official title is Director of Operations, his approach goes well beyond the title — he prefers to comprehensively understand every facet of the organization rather than operating within a narrow lane. Sharing his father Deepak's deep-rooted commitment to quality and customer service, Utkarsh has made it a personal priority to stay closely connected to how the company's products actually perform in the field, using that insight to directly shape what gets built next. He holds a Master's Degree in Business & Information Systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, a background that informs both his operational rigor and his product thinking.

Adam Moodhe

Adam Moodhe

Director of Sales

Adam is a U.S. Air Force veteran who joined DECORS USA in 2010, bringing with him over 20 years of specialized experience in LED lighting systems. His background is unusually technical for a sales leader — before stepping into the Director of Sales role at DECORS, he built deep expertise designing Machine Vision Inspection Systems used in LED lighting construction, giving him a level of product fluency that goes far beyond a typical sales background. He also spent time contributing to respected trade publications, including Electronic Packaging & Production, Upholstery Design & Manufacturing, Corporate Design, and Restaurant & Institutions magazines — work that broadened his understanding of both the lighting and hospitality industries from multiple angles.
